Art Geigel
I was born Arthur Joseph Geigel III in Ohio on January 23, 1983. My parents, Art and Gay Geigel, raised me (an only child) to believe I was capable of accomplishing anything I put my mind to. They nurtured my natural intelligence and affinity for math/creativity by continuing informal education at home through reading, games and art classes. I owe all that I am, and have become, to them and I love them dearly. Now retired, they happily live in University Heights, Ohio. I visit them every Sunday for dinner and to watch a sports game on TV (depending on the season it's either the Cavs, Indians or Browns).
Mom and Dad
My early years were spent in Solon, Ohio where I played outside bike riding, tossing a football and just exploring our 3 acres of land with my friend and neighbor, Dave Wyban. My mom, a tennis instructor for the YMCA, got me involved with athletics at a young age. Legend has it that as soon as my mom saw me take my first steps as a toddler she drove me to the local country club to have my "first walk" on a tennis court instead of at home. She was a stay at home mom most of my life, and her dedication to me is something I doubt I will ever be able to repay. My father was an Aurora High School educator for 35 years in the subject of English, and enjoyed teaching students about Beowulf, Cúchulainn and Dante's Inferno. In both September 2007 and 2008 my mom was nice enough to send both he and I to Ireland. Each visit was for 10 exhilarating days. I will cherish those memories for the rest of my life. Slainte!

My Life
The rest of my life can best be broken down into stories of individual experiences and events that have impacted me.
